Outside Lands 2022 weekend is HERE.
It’s that time again when Ranger Dave and Ranger Ruth come out to play inside Golden Gate Park for the annual Outside Lands Music Festival. The 3-day weekend kicks off Friday, August 5, until Sunday, August 7.
This year’s headliners include Post Malone, Green Day, and the fabulous Sza, with many more acts on the bill that we may or may not have had to get familiar with ahead of the festival. (Admittedly, we did put a few artists’ musics on repeat since it was new to our earbuds)
Look, we get it. By now, attendees have queued up their preferences for each lineup day. And they voiced their opinions/arguments on which set to check out. But allow us to introduce you to the other activities happening beyond the stage that you may not want to miss:
The Music Den by Toyota
It’s giving Warped Tour. In past years, we’ve skipped out on the brand-sponsored activations, but we may have to give it a whirl this time. Unsure if this has always been available but inside The Music Den by Toyota, take a minute to enjoy a relaxing, intimate performance by The Beths, ODIE, MICHELLE, Cassian, Jelani Aryeh, and more.
West Coast Craft x Outside Lands Marketplace
We love small business owners, and what better way to support them with live music playing in the background?! You never know what hidden gems you could take home, and this is a perfect taste for anyone who hasn’t been to an official West Coast Craft event at Fort Mason.
Taste of the Bay Area
THE FOOD. THE FOOD! So good, we had to say it twice. You’ve seen it all over Outside Lands socials. This year they’re not skimping on the food. But are they ever? We’re so excited to see Marley’s Treats repping the East Bay (a 411 in the 510 fave) and Smish Smash, whom the owners we recently just met! Stay close to our socials as we go IN on the food. We just mentioned food, but here’s even more food with a show! Squat/relax in dewy grass in front of the GastroMagic Culinary Stage to see, well… Magic! You’ll see some unlikely duos paired together to make something I think we could all agree on: food.
The Views from the Hills
We’re not talking about MTV The Hills. This last point is just a simple, wholesome nod to the best part of the 3-day weekend: sitting on Golden Gate Park grass with your loved ones, soaking in all the music while trying to stay warm from Karl the Fog. There’s truly no better feeling.
