I am a licensed esthetician offering wedding hair and makeup services, lash extensions, and customized facials. I strive to help all my clients embrace their authentic beauty and promote self-love with each appointment. 

What’s the best thing about being a small business owner?

The best thing about being a small business owner is having full control of what you create, share, and who you work with. Being in the beauty industry, there are A LOT of trends and styles, but I am able to create an experience and result that is completely unique to me. It is so wild to me that I have this creative freedom!

What’s a typical day like for you? 

When I am in the salon, you will always catch me listening to BTS or a self-help podcast, doing and folding laundry, helping my lash and facial clients feel brand new, and asking my husband what we should eat for dinner.

When I am on-site for weddings, you will always catch me filming b-roll footage in elevators and throwing up a peace sign, forgetting to take a before photo, hyping up my clients, eating breakfast at noon, and cleaning my brushes while face-timing my besties. 

What advice do you have for aspiring small business owners? 

Stop wondering about the negative “what ifs” and start thinking about “what if every goal or dream I set my mind to can become my reality.” 

What’s something you wish someone told you about starting a business? 

I wish someone had told me that it could sometimes be lonely as an entrepreneur. To find a community and people you can grow with professionally. You will 100% need folks outside your family and friends to have healthy business discourse.
